The Snooker World Championship is the oldest and most prestigious snooker tournament. Every year in April-May, it takes place at the Crucible Theatre in Sheffield, England. Since 1977, this venue has become the centre of the snooker world.
Although snooker doesn't have as large a fanbase in Bangladesh as cricket, interest in betting on this tournament is growing steadily. Thousands of Bangladeshi players join 33pro every year to watch and bet on legendary battles featuring Ronnie O'Sullivan, Judd Trump, Mark Selby, and others.
Snooker betting is a bit different from other sports betting. Matches here are much longer — finals can even run over two days. This extended duration offers more live betting opportunities, and odds shift quickly with momentum changes. At 33pro, live odds update in real time and placing a bet takes just seconds.
On this page you'll find the full tournament history, how to bet, which bet types offer the best value, and a complete guide to starting snooker betting at 33pro.

SNOOKER TABLE
Maximum Break = 147 points
Snooker is a game of precision and tactics. Played with 15 red balls, 6 coloured balls, and one white cue ball. Players take turns potting a red ball first (1 point) then a coloured ball. Scoring the maximum points in one continuous run is called a "break".
From a betting perspective, each "frame" is a separate game. The player who reaches the required number of frames first wins the match. First-round matches are "Best of 11 Frames" (win 6 frames to take the match), while the final is "Best of 35 Frames" — that's why the final runs over two days.
Live betting is available on every frame, so you can bet multiple times in a single match

Types of bets available for the Snooker World Championship
Bet on who will become champion before the entire tournament starts. Odds on favourites are low, but betting on underdogs can bring big payouts.
Bet on which player will win a specific match. This is the most popular bet type and is available for every match on 33pro.
One player is given a frame advantage. Example: Ronnie -2.5 frames means he must win by at least 3 frames for your bet to win.
Bet on the total number of frames to be played in the match. Example: Over 10.5 means your bet wins if 11 or more frames are played.
Bet on each frame separately during the match. Live odds on 33pro change in real-time and you can bet based on momentum.
What will the highest break be, will there be a 147 break in any match, which country's player will reach the semi-finals — such special markets are also available on 33pro.

The intimate atmosphere of the Crucible Theatre puts pressure on some players. Betting on experienced players against those playing in the Crucible Final for the first time is generally safer.
Big upsets happen more often in early rounds (Best of 11). From the quarter-finals onwards, experienced players perform consistently. At 33pro, odds in the late stages are more reliable.
Look out for players who performed well in major ranking tournaments before the World Championship. Players in form often upset the favourites.
When a player is down 0-3 frames, their odds increase. But snooker is a game of comebacks. Betting at this moment on 33pro can be profitable.
Bet on the Over market when two evenly-matched players meet. Such matches usually go down to the final frame, increasing the total frames played.
Never stake everything on one match. Don't bet more than 5-10% of your sports betting budget on a single wager. This is the key to staying profitable long-term.
